The FLAW HUNTER CNG9506 is a 15 channel ultrasonic test system. It is used for flaw detection and thickness measuring of CNG Cylinders.

This system is designed to be able to accurately thickness measurement and detect reference defects of international cylinder test standards, BS EN-11439. It is commonly used with four N5 longitudinal and transverse grooves placed on the inside and outside of the cylinders.

The FLAW HUNTER CNG9506 is a 15 channel ultrasonic test system. It is used for flaw detection and thickness measuring of CNG Cylinders.

This system is designed to be able to accurately thickness measurement and detect reference defects of international cylinder test standards, BS EN-11439. It is commonly used with four N5 longitudinal and transverse grooves placed on the inside and outside of the cylinders.

Repeatability of test results and POD percentage of 99% is a prominent feature of this system.

Due to the high sensitivity of the test and the surface condition of these Cylinders, the test is performed by immersion method and Water jet technique. In this technique, all flaw detector and thickness measuring probes are placed inside a special shoe with the appropriate coupling path. When testing, the shoe is mounted on the cylinder surface and the cylinder starts rotating at a specified speed.

The shoe is then driven by special rails and guide ways at a specified speed in a longitudinal direction on the rotating tank body and scans the entire cylinder body.

The software of the system are the ability to record test results on a strip chart, provide color C-Scan images and test analysis offline.
