Product introduction
FLAW HUNTER EP9501, is an on-line ultrasonic system used to test weld seam and HAZ pipe or rectangular and square seam metal sections welded by the ERW method.
Ultrasonic testing of these products requires a special mechanical system capable of holding, moving and adjusting at least four probes separately.
The probes are positioned next to the weld seam so that the sound wave produced by them is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the weld seam and to identify the longitudinal inside and outside defects of the weld seam.
The probes are facing each other on both sides of the weld seam. One pair of probes facing each other is used to identify surface longitudinal weld defects and the other probe pair is used to identify longitudinal welded root defects.
